The name on the gate
This shoreline has belonged to the Dunaway family for generations. Walter Dunaway served twelve years as mayor of Conway, and the land at the Highway 89 gateway has stayed in the family ever since — the cabins, the café, the landing itself.
Now, as the state rebuilds the lake, the family is rebuilding the Landing — and giving something back with it: planned public access to the water, so the lake the family has lived beside for generations belongs a little more to everyone.
Every claim on this page is the documented truth. The rest we’ll build — and you can watch it happen on the project page.
